What the injections are
Umbilical cord tissue and PRP
Renova offers umbilical cord tissue (Wharton's jelly) injections and PRP injections.
Placed under live X ray
A medical doctor gives the injection under fluoroscopy, live X ray imaging that lets the physician see the needle.
Decided after your exam
Whether treatment makes sense is decided only after the exam and X ray. We will also discuss standard options, including physical therapy, medication, other injections and surgical referral.

Questions
Good to know before we call
What happens after I send my answers?
Our team calls you. The call is free and there is no obligation. If a visit makes sense, we arrange an exam and an X ray at the clinic closest to you.
Am I a candidate?
Your consultation decides whether treatment makes sense for you, and not everyone is a candidate. If we do not think it will help, we will say so.
Is this FDA approved?
No. Renova's umbilical cord tissue (Wharton's jelly) injections and PRP injections are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to treat arthritis, joint pain, back pain or any other orthopedic condition.
Will it work for me?
Results vary. Some people improve, some notice no change, and some feel worse. We do not guarantee any result.
What are the risks?
Possible risks include pain or swelling at the injection site, bleeding, infection, nerve or blood vessel injury, allergic or immune reactions, radiation exposure from imaging, and no improvement. Products made from donated tissue carry a risk of infection despite donor screening.
Who gives the injections?
Licensed medical doctors, Blake Leche, MD and S. Emmett Lucas, MD, under fluoroscopic guidance. Daniel McCollum, DC, is a chiropractor and Renova's founder; he does not perform injections.
